Meet the pangolin: the world's only truly scaly mammal, and when it rears up on its hind legs to sniff the air, it resembles a T-Rex, which inspired our \"Pango-saurus Rex\" design, illustrated with a hand-drawn line style that captures this shy, ancient-looking creature mid-strut beneath a crescent moon.<\/p>
They're the world's most illegally trafficked mammal, hunted for their scales and meat, with several species now teetering on the edge of extinction. ZSL is a leading partner in pangolin protection, working with communities living alongside these creatures, securing an international trading ban, deploying conservation experts in the field, and disrupting the illegal trade through anti-poaching patrols and training for local law enforcement.<\/p>
